“ So, I actually meant to talk about this place a long time ago. We've been ordering take-away from this little hot spot for over 3 years now. And honestly, the best way to describe their food is....charmingly prosaic. I don't mean that as an insult by any means. Matter of fact, this is the kind of simple food one would order in on a Friday night after a tough day of work or something. In a way, NHOP is like the "Fast and Furious" of local pizza franchises. As long as you turn your brain off for a couple hours and stop thinking about it too hard, it's fine for what it is and actually....quite enjoyable. Anyways, the pizza immediately reminded me of the kind I used to have at the late, great Derry Restaurant (R.I.P.) back in the day as a kid - crust n' all. But the one item that really steals the show IMHO is the chicken tender appetizer. I dunno what these guys do to their tenders. But there's something about the way they season their breading which is just...*mwah* - chef's kiss! Eh....in terms of straightforward short-order take-away, that is. Pro life tip: they pair well with Chick-Fil-A sauce or....ANY sauce, really. As I mentioned earlier, we usually order to-go from here. Hence, why I haven't ever checked into this place until a recent visit with wifey (she didn't feel like driving). It was then when I finally got a chance to scope out the interior of this place. It's small, quaint, and simple; much like the cuisine. Not much worth mentioning, if we're being honest. My only complaint about this place is the sauce they use for their pizza. It's sweet....if you're into that sort of thing. It doesn't bother me (much). But I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish they'd at least consider taking another approach. Pizza should be savory - not a subtle fusion of confusion. So basically, this is our other default spot after we get sick of all the other usual suspects. Nothing world changing, but pretty good. I'm giving Nashua House of Pizza 4 sweetish-savory slices of pizza out of 5. ”
